The upgrading of writing speed has been proceeding all through the CD-R industry. In the Year 2000, DST successfully launched their 16X 74mins/ 80mins and peculiar Over-Capacity 90mins CD-R into the market. Shortly after in March of 2001,the 99 mins CD-R was introduced.Following the successes, 24X CD-R was launched
in September 2001,32X CD-R in February 2002, 40X at CeBIT 2002, and now 52X.
